ASSISTANT SWIM COACH OF THE FAST (FAYETTEVILLE AQUATICS) SWIM TEAM

Working for FAST, I was able to coach some fantastic swimmers from interesting walks of life. Coach Oscar Roverato built the program in an ever-changing military town climate, where it frequently is difficult to retain participation, and initiated the growth of the city's aquatic departments.

I additionally headed the summer camp programs at the Westover Recreation Center, taught Parent and Tot Classes for FSU, and was coach of the FAST Silver Group for a little over a year, until I relocated to Colorado.

SWIM TEAM ADMINISTRATOR & ASSISTANT SWIM COACH OF THE BRAD AKINS YMCA BARRACUDAS

I have worked as the Assistant Swim Coach for the YMCA Barracudas - members of the YMCA of the USA, North Georgia Swim League, Georgia Parks and Recreation Association, and USA Swimming - since 2006. I coached swimmers from age 3 - 18 within a wide scale of ability levels. I have experience with coaching summer league, year round, and long course swimming programs as well as conducting dryland training for swimmers. I have been USA Certified since 2010.

During my time with the Barracudas, I frequently taught private swim lessons to beginner and experienced swimmers and assisted in starting a bridge/feeder program for swimmers aiming to move from swim lessons to swim team. I also helped run several swim clinics for more experienced swimmers and triathletes looking to improve their strokes and fine tune their workouts for more productive training.

In the off-season, I ran a swim lessons program through the YMCA for local middle school students with special needs. I also helped organize and run a charity swim meet benefiting charities aiding in the fight against childhood cancer.

Certified as a lifeguard at 15 through the Red Cross, I built on my experience to become Head Lifeguard at our community pool and one of the Aquatics Managers at the Ramsey Aquatic Center at the University of Georgia. I also guarded for triathlons and summer camps at Fort Yargo State Park as well as for Camp Mays, a local summer camp for children with autism.

I love the pool and love for people to love the pool. Swimming has been a huge part of my life, and I feel very strongly about fostering that same love in swimmers of all ages.
